Good morning all ~ I'm so excited about all the entries this week and new followers!
In May I changed from creating mosaic tiles to hand made gifts and mini dishes ~ so this is really my first holiday season on etsy. I am so excited as I hit a milestone yesterday with 500 sales!
Whoop!

We are planning a trip to see my Mother in law up North and visit family and friends at the end of the month for a couple of weeks. With that in mind and the added new sales I am going to go to the end of the month give away at least through the holiday season instead of weekly. So be sure and get your entries in.

Saturday

Remember you still have a couple days to post on my blog to get an entry for the book mark. Debbie has still not come forward so I may be redrawing for her prize on Monday as well.

A friend and I went off to the new birding center they opened today. It's a beautiful sanctuary but going to be costly to visit. We are so blessed with many different types of birds down here. We then went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for queso chicken and chips. It was so good! Stopped a couple of stores (it's so nice when tourist season is over) and came back home.

I'm itching to get back on the beach as we spent 3 hours yesterday and found some really nice sea beans. Darryl's watching football so it's doubtful I can get him out.

Well so far last week's winner has not come forward. I tried clicking on her name but her blog is private. . . so on Monday when I draw for the book mark if she has not come forward I will draw another name from last week's entries.

We've had rain for 3 days now and as much as I love not seeing the sun for a while I have to admit by yesterday afternoon I was getting a little cranky. I want rain if it's going to be gray outside (spoiled) I guess.

Have some new sea glass jewelry going to be posting real soon and some new book mark designs for Halloween.

We are in the planning stages of going to Indiana for 3 weeks in October so I am trying to get my shop full of items I think would be great gifts for the holidays. And I try to keep my items priced reasonable.

I used a pumpkin shaped glass lamp work bead some Swavorski crystals and then topped off with a pumpkin embossed oval. It is a 6" squiggle bookmark ~ ideal gift for any reader's in your life! Great to tuck into your card when you can't be there for the fall holidays.

Sunday

It has been so great the past few days - rain rain and more rain! We finally had 3 inches by Saturday morning. Today no such luck but it was great while it lasted.

Monday

We went to the beach for a little walk. When I need to get stress free or clear my mind I love to go take walks on the beach. We were hoping that there would be some treasures since the storm hit Florida but maybe later this week. I did find a couple of sea beans, a piece of coral and a couple pieces of frosted sea glass. There were not many waves and the gulf was a beautiful blue.

I go tomorrow to find out my stress test at the Cardiologist. I just know I want to start having energy again.

Will post some great shots of the area ~ dolphins in the bay and pelicans by the pier.

Working on the "give away" that I will start in September on the blog. I think I"m going to have a scavenger hunt in my etsy shop.

This was actually taken on June 22 this year on my son's birthday at about 6:30 am. A friend and I were out on the bay fishing. I figured since he could not be here I would be there for him.

There is something peaceful and serene being on the water when the sun is rising on the horizon.

I hope you enjoy the picture as much as we did that day. By the way we did catch 4 trout and it made for a wonderful lunch

Wednesday June 22

Don't you just love the hot pink dress? This is a picture of our son and his father in law Steve during their July trip to visit us. We took them to Matamoros, Mexico. The picture brings back good memories and fun times.

They are coming down this weekend for a fishing weekend. I hope they catch tons of fish.

It's hard to believe in 2 more days our son will turn 29 - wow where did the years go and fly by? Happy Birthday Michael if you happen to check in :)

I've been working on some new book marks and I love the touched by an angel one I did. It has pink sea glass, crystals and an angel wing charm.

Went to the beach on Thursday to walk and clear my mind . . . came home and have been creating every since.

Wednesday

Well trying to get some orders caught up and work on some new items for my shop. I am working on some new initial tiles that I am really excited about. They can be used as magnets, mosaic tiles, charms or even as a necklace. I'll post a pic when I get one finished.

Suppose to be another hot day here today - of course our seasons here are hot - hotter and hottest! I'm not complaining when I have South Padre Beach about 10 minutes away.
