April 12th

It's hard to believe Easter is behind us and we are almost half way through April.  Here is a picture of sunrise on South Padre Island.  I walk the beach daily to start my day.  I have listed a few new styles for Mother's Day be sure to check it out.

Friday 27th

It's hard to believe January is almost over.  Although I have not gotten a picture of my new items to show you I did want to share with you what I look out and see on a daily basis when I'm working from my studio or on my balcony.  The pelicans and birds here are so abundant and I enjoy watching them.
It's sunny today and going to be beautiful.  I am working on finishing some of those new designs and will list them by the first of the week.

Wednesday 25th

Got up early to go to the beach this morning.  There were strong north winds last night so thought there might be some goodies to find.  Unfortunately the tide was coming in so there was not much.  I did find a tiny baby sand dollar and some large coral.  But it was gorgeous walking on the beach as always.

Can't wait to show you some of the new designs I've come up with for wedding dishes - a new dimensional one.  Also some Christmas ornaments (yes I'm already coming up with new designs)

Monday

Went to town today and found some gorgeous new organza ribbon to use on my dishes and ornaments.

Then came home and sat on the deck watching the fog roll over the bay between me and South Padre Island and had some fresh steamed blue crab.  It's great to live on the water.

I'm going to post some pictures tomorrow of some new items that are waiting to be fired to bisque.  Sunday I got to play in the clay and work on some new designs ~ which it seems I rarely find time to do.

Ends of clay

After making dishes it seems I always end up with scraps of clay that I can recondition but too small to really do much with them.  So I started playing around with them this morning and decided to start using them to make embossed stamps.  Little stamps that are imprinted with designs that you can use on clay, polymer clay and such.

I have so many textures I can't wait now to get to the end of the clay slabs to create these little cuties.

2012 - New Year - New Designs - New Life

Welcome back to Wise Impressions.
It's been a tough 1 1/2 years after my husband's death but I am ready to begin again in 2012.

Be sure to look for new items, designs and ideas. I am in the process (with the help of my daughter) of changing the look of my Etsy shop and I'm trying to start blogging again.
